One Cover bouldering matts are a wall-to-wall solution. Seamless, waterproof boulder mat – tailored to your wall and built for intensive use.

This custom-made boulder mat covers the entire floor surface in one continuous piece, where the mats are held in place under a large, unified cover. The cover is secured with plywood strips along the edge, eliminating the risk of shifting, cracking or crevices between the mats. The result is a smooth and non-slip surface that acts as an additional floor – perfect for intensive use in climbing clubs and sports halls.

The mat is adapted to the shape and dimensions of the climbing wall and can be configured with either a vertical edge or a wedge-shaped end for better comfort during sit-starts. You can choose between a vinyl cover or carpet top, and the thickness is adjusted according to your needs – typically between 30 and 40 cm. We measure, design the solution and deliver the custom made mats directly to your door. You can do the assembly yourself with our guidance – or we can do it all.

TECHNICALS

The core foam

22-32 cm N2542 polyurethane foam (PU foam)
The foam has a density of 25 kg/m³.
The compressive strength (kPa) is 42. This number indicates how hard the foam is. 42 kPa means a relatively firm foam, suitable for, for example, seating and sports furniture or drop mattresses, where you want good springiness.

Top foam

8 cm N2790 polyurethane foam (PU foam)
Density of 27 kg/m³
Compressive strength of 90 kPa. This is a very high value, making the foam very firm and resistant to deformation. It provides a firm surface that does not sink significantly under load.

Cover

900 g/m² polyester fabric coated with PVC - PVC Vinyl

DESIGNING

Based on your layout, we create a custom 3D design using SketchUp. This allows you to visualise the final result and ensures that the mats will fit your space perfectly – including details like wedge edges for sit-start areas if needed.

Once you’ve approved the design, we begin production. Each mat is custom-made with the required foam density, thickness, and surface material. The cover and foam are prepared to fit together exactly as planned.

One-Cover Boulder Matts

One overall cover over the entire mat area

Pros:

Extremely durable solution for large bouldering areas
Overlapping foam layers provide high safety and a smooth landing surface

Cons:

The floor is not removable or modular
Assembly, disassembly and repair require experience and professional equipment

Modular Boulder Matts

Separate, removable mat modules. The modules are connected with Velcro straps.

Pros:

Easy to adjust, move and store temporarily
Ideal solution for smaller bouldering rooms or multifunctional rooms
Quick assembly and repair – even without specialist knowledge

Cons:

Weaker joints between modules compared to the one-cover solution

Carpet cover

Pros:

Easy to clean with a vacuum cleaner
Collects the chalk in the textile fibers, which can be easily removed by cleaning
It has a huge noise absorbing ability and it feels really comfortable
The carpet cover provides a relaxing and cozy atmosphere

Cons:

Compared to vinyl it is less durable
Holds stains and odors. Needs cleaning on a regular basis

Vinyl cover

Pros:

Very flexible and durable material
Resistant to stains
Easy to clean with a vacuum cleaner and a cloth
Few or no seams

Cons:

No noise absorption
Does not hold the chalk
