What is included in a service inspection for auto belays?

The annual inspection is very comprehensive and includes:

  • Visual inspection of all components
  • Cleaning the inside of the unit
  • Lubrication of moving parts
  • Possible replacement of components (invoiced separately)
  • Control of braking power, lowering speed and retraction speed
  • Re-certification from SafeClimb
